Hi oroborus,
Can you please indicate where you get this error?

Hi again,
You didn't indicate where (=in which program) the error message was displayed.
You need administrator rights on your system to install software - are you using an admin account?

Unzip the archive with folder structure and try installing from this folder, not directly from the archive.

I am not quite sure what you mean so I will list what I know. I am pretty bad with computer lingo.
The program is Trado 6.5 freelance
I get the message during Installwizard Shield wizard
It says the the programm will be saved to C:Program Files
It is from a file Win RAR
I'm not sure if this is what you were looking foo. Thanks for your time. | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 22:05 English to German + ... Looks like Wojciech is right... | Oct 4, 2005 |
...if you have downloaded the software, the files are in a compressed ("zipped") archive. You must extract them first (to a temporary folder), then you can install from there (usually by starting setup.exe).

I encountered similar reading problem when shutting down my PC. After updating my Windows 2000, it works perfectly. Maybe it resulted from a malicious code.
You can run Windows Update from Start menu, and then defragment your hard disk before installation. Any disk sector error may cause the reading error. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Trados 6.5 (Error 1309) Help!
