I have Trados Freelance 6.5 and whenever I translate content in tables only the source text is visible. The line where the target should be typed is hidden as the cell is obviously not large enough. Manually resizing the tables is obviously not a practical solution.
Is there any way I can see the source and target lines of the individual cells while I translate?
Thanks

Set line height to automatic
Jun 6, 2005
Good morning,
Sounds like the height of lines has been set to an exact value in Word - try using automatic height settings. (Don't forget to note the original settings, should you need to restore them.)
HTH, Ralf

Another solution

If it is possible, you could also copy the table from the document into a new word document and convert the table into text. Then translate this new document and go back to the original document and translate the table there using the translate to fuzzy feature. That way you don't have to fiddle with the cell size in the original.

aparently copying into a newer word document and recopying into the original is double work, and if not done with precision, it may create further hassels. I am currently working on a tech.manual with a few hundred tables and calculation cells. The adv. came in precisely at the right point of time.
