Hallo to everybody!
I am using trados 5.5 for the first time this morning. I did a file and it was ok, then with the second one it gives me codes for the headers, footers and pictures. I tried to open the firss (finished) file again and it gave me the same problem.Even if I open the original files from a cd it gives me the error! Seems as Trados has changed the way my word 2000 reads the files!!!
Can somebody please help!? It is pretty hard to learn how to use trados by yours... See more

View settings in Word
Feb 18, 2004
I'm not sure what exactly your problem is, but I think it's just the view settings in Word. Go to the Tools menu, click Options, go to the View tab and check the settings there, especially the Field codes and Formatting marks.
