It is generally unlikely I'll receive any emails on Monday morning as clients are also starting a new week and they are yet to get round to placing any orders for a new translation. It's more usual for me to receive documents on Fridays which need to be translated on the following Monday. Translation is not like working in a 9-to-5 office, which is what the question seems to imply.

I only work with customers that are within my own time zone. They typically don't send any requests between Friday evening and Monday morning.

Does this imply one should have a lot of emails in their Monday morning inbox? May 14

My inbox has less emails in the Monday morning than any other mornings of the business week. I usually don't have much to handle in my Monday morning inbox.

I get the bulk of the mails on the Friday, when clients ask if I can do something by Monday or Tuesday... or by Sunday morning.
