I haven’t had a single payment delay for some time. My payment terms are 30 days for new clients and as agreed for my long-standing customers. After a bad experience in 2005/2006, when I had to take a legal action against two clients, I have been working with the same customers (agencies and direct clients) for a long time and as a rule I never accept large projects from a new client, unless they are a well-established international organization. Most of my clients pay on time, although the payment terms can be quite long: up to three months. When I expect a specific payment from a client, and it doesn't come through, I give it a week, but then I follow up. I must confess that I do not diligently check whether clients have paid, since most of my clients pay on time or nearly on time anyway. I really only discover non-payment periodically when I update my administration or if I'm waiting for a particularly large payment.

Never had a delay but i noticed in case it is due to pay in one month, they will wait one month. It makes me worried something is wrong therefore my next payment due date will be shorter. I am thinking 10-15 days...
