Have you tried oatmeal for breakfast? Jan 6

That question is just as relevant to the translators community.

This is more than surreal Jan 6

WHY are ProZ site staff wasting time and effort posting up these "poll questions" when the site is deteriorating? - fake jobs appearing on the jobs board and constantly reaching us through our profiles, jobs asking us (and even children as young as five) to record our voices to train AI (and who knows what else?), jobs asking us to take photos of food and the interiors of private business premises, jobs asking asking us to disclose third-party private data, fake freelancer profiles...the list goes on and on and yet many of these job ads are allowed to stay on the site in spite of contravening Rule 1.1. of the job posting rules.

PROZ, GET A GRIP !!!

Maybe AI is in charge Jan 6

So many poll 'questions' are now so inane/ridiculous that I'm beginning to wonder if AI is in charge.

Exercise in Style #3
It looks very 'real' to me - I mean the fact that this life-changing poll question was asked here couldn't be more 'real'.

As for the 'reality' of the poll results, that's another matter – apparently I have voted in lots of past polls, but my (otherwise still alive and kicking) memory must have developed some very selective memory holes as I can't remember any of these 'votes of mine', not even having voted in this poll 10 minutes ago.

Exercise in Style #4
Later - gone for a coffee break.

Disrespectful to us as translators Jan 6

Géraldine Fourrier wrote:

I would call it something else: disrespectful to us as translators.
While lighthearted polls can sometimes help engage a community, translators—and this website itself—are currently dealing with serious technical and professional issues.
In that context, off-topic polls like this make little sense and can feel dismissive of the work we do every day.
It would be far more valuable to focus on real challenges, technical issues affecting this platform, and concrete ways to support the community professionally, rather than on topics that are completely unrelated to the profession.
Repeated polls of this kind reflect a lack of seriousness and responsibility on the part of those running the forum, with or without AI assistance.

Rule 34 ... Jan 7

... clearly applies here.
'Rule 34' ...? You can look that up in Urban Dictionary as well.
