Hello all!

I was wondering if there is a good way to search multiple dictionaries at once.
My language pair is JPNENG and I will usually search the following sites before deciding on a word.

http://www.linguee.jp/
http://ejje.weblio.jp/
http://eowp.alc.co.jp/

I would like to get something (either a chrome extension, a macro, or some function in trados) that would let me input the word and search all 3 sites at once.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

MemoQ has it Aug 9, 2016

In MemoQ there is the Websearch function, which opens a window in which the selected term is queried to multiple online dictionaries which can be configured for personal preference. It all happens within the CAT tool environment. For example, I have mine set up to query Linguee, the IATE term base and Termium, all just by pressing a shortcut key.

Web Lookup for Studio Aug 9, 2016

SDL Trados Studio has an app that searches multiple sites at once:
http://appstore.sdl.com/app/web-lookup/455/

However, I agree with Michael that IWS is the way to go.
IWS is basically a set of macros, and will work from any Windows program, unlike Web Lookup in Studio or Websearch in memoQ.

Will a Website Do? Aug 9, 2016

Try this site.

http://magicsearch.org/

It searches not only three, but 24 online dictionaires, including PROZ Search term, and presents the results in one (long) page. And you can chose which dictionary to search. Depending on your internet speed connection, it should help you.

GoldenDict Aug 9, 2016

GoldenDict is a great dictionary program that can use both offline dictionaries and various web sites (configuring may be tricky sometimes).

Multifultor was a recommendable tool, but isn't beeing distributed anymore.
Its successor is even better, though. Omni-Lookup: www.omni-lookup.de

Apsic XBench - internet Oct 21, 2016

I love to use Apsic XBench "internet" options. You can define quick links to various internet sites and define the search parameter (see instructions, it's quite easy), and then you can use it in JUST EVERY PROGRAM using shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+1 goes to linguee (DE>SL), as I defined this site and combination for #1).

I can only recommend it!
