I have drafted this sentence a few times now and it still doesn't quite work despite much moving around of words. The main problem seems to be where to put "dentro de estas celulas".

Siendo asi, la idea de poder introducir dentro estas celulas genes que puedan alterar o inhibir su fenotipo maligno resulta muy atractiva.

This being the case, the idea of being able to introduce those genes that can alter or inhibit the malignant phenotype into these cells is appealing.
