I have 11 years experience in translation and I love this job. I want to change people's lives by helping them to understand what is written or the message that is given with language of their heart. I'm also fast in typing and I do my work very thoroughly and strive to meet deadlines. Translation is not about replacing words, it's about translating thoughts accurately and naturally. Translation makes me think about my audience. Before I translate I ask myself questions such as: 'Will my audience understand what I'm trying to say? In other words, the choice of words or the language I used would it be understandable? Will the avarage reader understand this? Who is my audience, is it young people, uneducated people, educated ones, etc? Knowing my audience and asking myself questions like this will help me to reach the heart of the my audience. I'm trying hard to be up to date with morden trends of language, hence I strive to keep the dignity of the language at the same time. My grammar is so good and follow the rules when I translate. At the same time when I translate videos or interpret someone, I try to balance as we all know spoken language grammar is normally not followed, hencei try to deliver thoughts accurately and naturally. |
