tier ( criadera )
Since this appears to be written for those with little or no knowledge of these, 'tier' provides the actual physical description of what a 'criadera' is.
Depending on the level of knowledge of the target audience, one could just use 'criadera'. Or. if in doubt 'criadera' followed () by, tier, class.

@Enrique - it is the Bottom Tier. (see the diagram in the ref sherrynotes) It is also the final product. The best would be the top tier , as it is the oldest.

Note from asker:
Well, it means that "solera" can be called...... top tier? because it is the best wine, isn't it? |

criadera
It seems that most wine translations don't translate this word either that or put criadera (nursery).
Barrels in a solera are arranged in different groups or tiers, called criaderas or nurseries.

Each “solera” consists of a number of groups of barrels known as “criaderas”, the wine goes through these “criaderas” during the aging process.

A group of one or more containers, called scales, criaderas ('nurseries'), or clases are filled for each interval.
