I am Bulgarian and Bulgarian wines are known to be really good. We call some of our exceptional wines "специална резерва" or "special reserve". We also have reserves, etc., but the really good wintages are called "special reserve".
The indication “special reserve” can be written, under the condition that the wine:
- has been manufactured by a single sort of wine or is a coupage, and
- has matured for at least 1 year after the elapsing of the term of maturing, established in the act for the affirmation of the quality wine from a certain region.
