Hi Lisa, I just thought of this, does this work with your context? It's not an exact translation, since a slump is a downturn, but, I think that here "decalaje" is mentioned because sales have gone down, and the word that came to mind right away was "sales slump".

Leyendo las noticias de esta crisis global, me he detenido en una de esas palabras que conoces de tus tiempos de estudiante pero que al sacarla de contexto no acabas de reconocer.
Se trata de DECALAJE, y de ella dice el diccionario que viene del francés décalage y que significa: Distanciamiento o falta de concordancia entre dos personas o cosas.
Se está usando mucho para ver la diferencia entre las fluctuaciones del precio del petróleo y de los carburantes.
En España , con Geoportal, puedes ver la comparativa de todos los precios de los carburantes de todas las gasolineras del territorio nacional. Solo tienes que pasar el ratón sobre el icono de la gasolinera y aparecerá el nombre, la compañía y el precio del carburante que hayas marcado en el menú de la izquierda.
