La frase proviene del manual de formación en un centro de corte de acero. Se que es un defecto, en el manual hubo como 50 defectos posibles, es el unico que no pude traducir. Como el cliente tampoco me podia dar explicaciones adicionales, me dijo de dejarlo como orejeo. No tuve otra solución, pero sigo preguntadome que es......

No encontré la definición en español de orejado/orejeado, pero hallé esta:
