Se constata pérdida de continuidad ósea al nivel subcondilar, compatible con línea de fractura, y pequeños fragmentos óseos dispersos en el área.
Conducta: bajo anestesia general se realiza exploración, toilette, eliminación de algunos fragmentos óseos pequeños, así como perdigones. Se suturan las heridas intra y extrabucal, se colocan botones de fijación dentarios y se realiza fijación intermaxilar elástica. Tratamiento farmacológico con antibióticos, vitaminas, antiinflamatorios no esteroideos, termoterapia fría y curas locales diarias.
