Spanish term

certificado a la herencia

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) special power of attorney
Taken from an Ecuadorian Special Power of Attorney document. Power of Attorney is being given to one family member from another to sell a property. The phrase is part of a description of the powers given to the trustee. First is the power to represent the 'poderdante', second is the power to sign deeds of sale and third is where this phrase is found. The full sentence is: "Ademas, podrá comparecer a las oficinas del servicios de rentas internas y solicitar la debida tramitación para obtener el certificado a la herencia". It's the "a la" part that's throwing me off.
Thanks in advance!
