Thank you, Jane, but this is "my client" - one who for 15 years has relied on me to understand what he means... He's a genius, but he cannot compose readily intelligible letters or papers ("Usted entiende mis ideas," he says). He's just creating a huge e-learning program that he expects to become a "network of e-learning networks" over time. This will start up with a Chilean and a European educational institution, and certain colleges around the world are expected to gradually join in. As approx. 20,000 colleges, all of them members of the organization my client chairs will participate... you understand - he anticipates a "network of networks" within 5-10 years! :0)
He must have taken the expression from Google (other edu.orgs have used it before!)
It took me a couple of hours to grasp his meaning, and I decided to indulge him! ;D
