Discussion

Lisa McCarthy Sep 16, 2014:
Densidad comercial I wonder could 'densidad comercial' mean 'business density'? And could "bienes ocasionales' be classed as 'small businesses'?
Robert Forstag (asker) Sep 16, 2014:
The headers of the other three rows in the table: Available tourist beds
Hotels and restaurants
Retail business density
(To complicate matters, it is not defined what the figures in the table
mean. [I've informed the editor of this])

The text is in an academic paper on the sustainable economic development of Spanish cities.
David Hollywood Sep 16, 2014:
a wee bit more context?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Especially given the context of "tourism's impact on the economy," I am fairly sure that this is correct here. Many thanks."

Note from asker:
Many thanks. You are on the right track here. The question is what is the term for the *category* that encompasses these various items that you mention.
Upon further reflection, I think David might actually be right here (i.e., that the term refers to properties rented on a short-term basis by tourists).
