Spanish term

interpone

Spanish to English Other Aerospace / Aviation / Space
This document is so badly written, it is hard to know what in the heck they are talking about!! Now comes this use of "interpone" in what appears to be in a noun placement!

I am including three clauses, two of which use the word "interpone" in such a way that it appears to be a noun.

Does anyone know what this means? I at first thought they meant "interphone" but then it sprang up again in another clause nearby. So now I do not know what to think.

Here's the context:

- EL SISTEMA TAMBIÉN DEBERÁ MANTENER LAS FUNCIONES ACTUALES DE LOS EQUIPOS DE TRANSPONDER, RTT, VHF COMM, RADIO ALTÍMETRO, ADF E **INTERPONE**.

- LA INFORMACIÓN DEL COMPAS, ADF Y RADIOALTIMETRO SEGUIRÁ SIENDO TRAIDA HACIA EL SISTEMA DE INSPECCIÓN EN VUELO DESDE EL EQUIPO PROPIO DE LA AERONAVE.

- DE ACUERDO AL PARRAFO ANTERIOR TAMBIÉN EL SISTEMA SEGUIRÁ COMPARTIENDO EL AUDIO DEL TRANSCEPTOR DE VHF DE LA AERONAVE, EL CUAL SE SELECCIONA A TRAVÉZ DEL CONTROL DE AUDIOS DEL FIS, ASÍ COMO LA FUNCIÓN DE **INTERPONE*** COCKPIT-FIS Y VICEVERSA, ASÍ COMO EL MONITOREO DE LOS AUDIOS DE LOS EQUIPOS RECEPTORES DE VOR/ILS, DME´s, MKR´s, ADF, MEDIANTE UN ENSABLE ATENUADOR DE AUDIOS.

Anyway, please give me any ideas you might have.

Thanks a lot in advance.
