Using CS for z/OS and zSeries OSA-Express can provide a gigabit Ethernet TCP/IP path between the end point and the SNA application, simplifying the network to a single protocol while potentially eliminating the need for external networking controller and routing devices.
Each of these appliances, also known as servers, could be re-hosted with the Bladecenter or Linux on zSeries server ***images***.
does it mean that these "appliances" could be rehosted on for example a zSeries server in the form of a disc image?
thanks!

The appliance - CS in this case -
* could be re-hosted on zSeries server image
or

Elena, in that case, the writer is merely talking about running the CS on instances of z/Series. By using the word \"image\", the writer is trying to highlight the fact that _nil_ configuration changes have to be carried out to z/Series to run the CS across diverse environments.
Hth,
Sanjay.

setups
Sounds like you already know this, but for anybody else who might find this interesting...
An "image" is a specific setup scenario on a computer, for example, you take a server and install Windows NT... install MS Exchange... plus all of those other programs that your situation requires... you could take that scenario and copy it onto a backup format such as CD or DVD and use that as an "image" to be used on other servers to eliminate having to reinstall everything again at each system. A common phrase used when talking about servers or workstations on networks is "I need to re-image that box." which basically means that the pre-established setup needs to be copied to that machine.
So yes, in your example, it sounds like they are saying that this product can be re-hosted on images for zSeries servers running Linux or the Bladecenter.
