French term

AW

French to English Medical Medical (general) abbreviation
HI all -

I am translating a large document from French (France) comprised of doctors' reports, lab reports, etc, on a patient with a variety of different health challenges.

There is one page describing an office visit where the patient, who is a diabetic, had sinusitis, a low-grade fever but also had as edemas in both legs as well.
The doctor has typed AW followed by a date 31/01:

Can anyone tell me what AW is likely to be?

Context:

Thanks!
Michael

Discussion

Michael Meskers (asker) Jul 13, 2021:
Perte de weight - my fault. I had already translated every instance of poids in the document as weight. Sorry for that confusion. I have not translated "viane." It is possible that it is a typo. Although 49 [ages out of this 50-page document are typed, there are clearly a number of them...
Marco Solinas Jul 13, 2021:
To Asker This is the longest of long shots. "Arrêt de Work"? After all, the source text does mention "perte de weight".
How did you translate "AT" at the start of the excerpt in the discussion entry and "viane"?
Michael Meskers (asker) Jul 12, 2021:
Another instance of AW in the same report AT- Confirmation d'une dislocation acromio-claviculaire de grade III, et fractures de cotes, a vu Docteur du sport, simple immobilisation, disparition de l'épanchement pleural, viane pour prolongation d'AW, par ailleurs diabète mal équilibre avec pourtant perte de weight, AW prolongé au 22/02, avis endocrino, passage à Metformine 1000x3, Coaprovel 150/12.5
