KRYTERIUM NADALA

Kryterium służące do oceny bezpieczeństwa jazdy w zakresie możliwości wykolejenia pojazdu, określone stosunkiem sił Y/Q, gdzie Y – siła poprzeczna działająca na koło w punkcie styku koła z szyną, Q – siła pionowego obciążenia przenoszonego przez koło na szynę w punkcie kontaktu. Jako wartość krytyczną, zgodnie z opracowaniem ORE-B10, przyjmuje się (Y/Q) max = 1,2 dla kąta γ = 700.

Wzór Nadala (przy założeniu, że kąt nabiegu α = 0) ma postać: Y/Q = (tg γ – f)/(1 + f • tg γ), gdzie: f – współczynnik tarcia, γ – kąt pochylenia boku obrzeża koła. - http://www.kurierkolejowy.home.pl/www.kolejpedia/regulacje/k...

Initial and still commonly used practical criterion (limit) of the wheel-climb derailment was introduced by French scientist M.J. Nadal in his article “Theorie de la stabilite des Locomotives” in 1896, based on simplified equilibrium assumption. Considering typical climb-up conditions, as associated with large lateral L and reduced vertical V forces, Nadal established the following well-known formulation for the critical L/V ratio:

Application of the Nadal Limit to the prediction of wheel climb derailment is presented along with the effect of pertinent geometric and material parameters. Conditions which contribute to this climb include wheelset angle of attack, contact angle, friction and saturation surface properties, and lateral and vertical wheel loads.
