Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Approx. 15,000 Ghits sugests it must be fairly widely known. Microsoft translations can be a bit suspect, and can hardly be regarded as invariably 'authoritative' — but at the same time, if it is the 'official' translation, it's not really advisable to depart from it!
I searched on this exact string in FR:
word 2007 erreur nom de propriété de document inconnu (search proposed by Google)
and got over 15,000 results; with 'du', only 3! It's obvious that the 'du' is a careless error made by the punters, and 'de' is the correct 'official' version.
It' isn't that common an error message, though I've had something almost identical, but in a proprietary application, not MS Word.
Still 1,120 results using literals and searching on:

No, Asker, you didn't — though judging by the number of hits in connection with MS, it would seem as if the term may have originated with them, even if it has been subsequently used elsewhere too.
In any event, whether this particular term is bieng used here in an MS context or not, the MS terminology base is a very useful resource to start with for many common terms — including, of course, for any applications that relate to Windows.
