Japanese term

産業担当デスク殿

Japanese to English Other Advertising / Public Relations Press release terminology
This appears as a fixed attention heading in Japanese press releases and seems that it would be translated as
"Attn: Industry Editor Desk" is there a more precise or commonly used English phrase for this.
Proposed translations (English)
4 +2 Attn.: Industrial editor

Discussion

Fred Moosreiner (asker) Dec 14, 2007:
Kind of Editor Joe,
This appears to be the collective use:
so Industrial Editor
depending on the PR classification
Financial editor, etc.

But the category in industrial may be indicated on the same line in parentheses latter such as (Industrial, medical laser) for example
even there Industrial editor seems appropriate.
Joe Greenholtz Dec 14, 2007:
My question would be whether it's a particular industry or whether it's the editor who deals with industry as a category within the paper's coverage? If the former, industry editor, if the latter, then industrial editor, as was suggested by Chizuko.

Attn.: Industrial editor

デスク in Japanese newsrooms mean an editor in a particular section, so you won't need Desk at the end.
