Bio
My name is Daniil Van der Merwe. I hail from Ukraine, where I spent the initial 17 years of my life before relocating to South Africa due to the persisting conflict in my home country. Raised in a family of missionaries, my parents dedicated themselves to organizing summer camps for children with disabilities or orphans in Ukraine.

During these endeavors, we welcomed a diverse array of volunteers from various countries. Recognizing the frequent need for translation services, I saw an opportunity to gain valuable experience in this field. Consequently, I undertook the role of a translator, predominantly translating from Russian/Ukrainian to English.

My proficiency extends beyond translation, as I am adept at teaching both Russian and Ukrainian languages. Through these experiences, I have cultivated a comprehensive skill set that combines linguistic expertise with a commitment to facilitating effective communication and fostering cultural understanding.
