"Free and vigorous corporate climate"? Hard to choose best words for this one without sounding either too naff or too direct (in translation). Written by company president to all employees. Any help appreciated.

Just as another alternative, I've always heard and used "corporate culture" for 企業風土 since my business books use this translation (although I've also seen corporate climate).
Example: 新たな経営陣は、会社全体に顧客第一を軸にした企業風土を根つかせようと努力を傾けている。
The new management team has been striving to establish a customer-focused corporate culture throughout the company.

Wow, androg, I'm amazed at the exact same wording but that's what it is. Feels good. :-)

Great Joyce, and thank you Kurt. After seeing that, I found this: http://209.85.175.132/search?q=cache:IjkG9B4G3dcJ:kms.jpn.org/keynoteaddress2.pdf+Free+and+open-minded+corporate+culture&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1 "In order to sustain this free and open-minded corporate culture, there have also been attempts to make the hierarchical structure of the organization as flat as possible." That sounds very much like it would not be out of place in the document I am translating. |
