Unfortunately I didn't invent it, but read it in a book about quitting smoking ages ago... it's a book from the 70s... I also like it much. :)

I like the word breaking:-) Not being an expert in the field (by far), your points sound reasonable, and there is no harm (and much possible benefit) in giving the asker some extra info to consider.

I don't quite agree with your distiction... משלח could be the dispatcher (single person) who deals with a specific client on behalf or as part of the shipping company.</br>
חברת שילוח would be the actual company. </br>I think my question to Michal should have been whether she needs the "title" for the company or of the person doing the dispatching per se.</br></br>
One last thing about your other comment "לא רואה סיבה להכנס לפרטים":
</br>There is one improtant lesson I have learned in life: Never assume (break the word and it says: to assume is to make an **ass** of **u** and **me**...); this I think, is especailly true with translations, and from Michal's answer I gather the text does mention (somewhere) the trasportation type. ל'חברת שילוח' יש מובן קצת שונה: אם אני מבינה נכון זה תאור עיסוקה הכללי של החברה, כאשר 'משלח' זה תאור היחסים של אותה חברת שילוח עם הלקוח (במקרה זה חברת חשמל). השאלה בטקסט המקורי נשאלה במובן השני.

כמו כן אני לא רואה סיבה להכנס לפרטים לגבי סוג השילוחים (ים או אויר או יבשה), כי זה לא מופיע בטקסט המקורי וניתן להניח שסוג השילוח ידוע לבני השיח (כלומר, אם מדובר למשל בפחם, אז ברור שמדובר בשילוח ימי).

I tend to agree with you Alisa, so then the answer should be חברת שילוח ימי since משלח on its own could be land forwarder as well. BTW, IEC also transports freight by land.
I hope Michal answers this Q.
