Steve,
When I tried to connect to the video link, my computer says it found links to 21ch.com which is a distributor of some downloads that some people considered as adware, spyware and etc. To watch the video, I was asked to download a software called golfbox.msi. Is it safe?
You'd better be careful. Better safe than sorry, you know.
I didn't get any warnings or any prompts to download needed software.

Yes, I’d better be more careful as I got bit by a “snake” once.

I know, the same question can be asked for any "ancestor" candidate.

Shaunna,
You're the biology expert. So you definitely know more than I do. But I think they are trying to identify the first organism that can be considered an animal. Or else we were probably the descendants of some single cell organisms living in some undersea hydrothermal vents or some vegetation growing on the ocean floor.

Never heard of it, but I surely can see it being true- US is indeed a very religious country.

And that surely is a good place to start.
I had thought Sponges are plants.

Jason,
It's a complicated issue, and it probably varies state to state. But as far as I know, the theory of evolution is taught in most schools.

But there are a lot of people who want the theory of intelligent design to be taught side by side with the theory of evolution. Some experts believe if the theory of intelligent design were to be taught, it should be taught in history or philosophy type of class.
