1.1 Welcome to the XXXX course on Child Safeguarding
Welcome to this short course on child safeguarding. The learning should take between 15-30 minutes to complete.

1.2.1 Part 1
At Xxxxx we believe that it is always unacceptable for a child to experience abuse of any kind. We also recognise our responsibility to safeguard the rights and welfare of all children as set out in the United Nations convention on the rights of the child.
Xxxxx corporate responsibility programmes such as Street to School, reading groups in schools, mentoring projects and many other education activities in and out of schools, bring Xxxxx employees and representatives into contact with children. However, until recently, we did not have specific guidelines to inform our approach to child safeguarding in the context of these programmes. Whilst we currently perform appropriate checks to ensure the suitability of volunteers and only work with reputable community partners, we realise that more can be done to ensure that we live up to our commitment to child rights.
1.2.2 Part 2
The Xxxxx child safeguarding guidance and the code of conduct, together with the training you are about to undertake represent a step in the right direction. We hope they will help you contribute with Xxxxx’s efforts towards:
Protecting children from abuse.
Protecting the reputation of our employees.

Helping Xxxxx play its part with others in creating child safe environments.

2 What is Child Abuse?
2.1 Child Abuse
There are four main categories of child abuse: physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect.
It’s important to remember that a child who is being abused/at risk of being abused, may experience more than one type of abuse.
In this section we’re going to take a look at each of these categories and find out what they really mean.
2.2 What is child abuse?
Click on each statement on the left to reveal more.
Physical abuse
Hurting or injuring a child, such as hitting, shaking, scalding or suffocating. It also includes giving a child harmful substances, such as drugs, alcohol or poison.
Sexual abuse
Direct or indirect sexual exploitation or corruption of children by involving them (or threatening to involve them) in inappropriate sexual activities. It can include kissing, indecent touching, intercourse or oral sex.
Emotional abuse
Repeatedly rejecting children, humiliating them or denying their worth and rights as human beings. Witnessing domestic violence is regarded as a form of emotional abuse.
Neglect
The persistent lack of appropriate care of children, including love, stimulation, safety, nourishment, warmth, education and/or medical attention.

2.1 Penganiayaan Anak
Terdapat empat jenis penganiayaan anak: penganiayaan fisik, penganiayaan seksual, penganiayaan mental, dan pengabaian.
Perlu diperhatikan bahwa anak yang dianiaya/berisiko dianiaya, dapat mengalami lebih dari satu jenis penganiayaan.

Penganiayaan fisik

Penganiayaan seksual

Penganiayaan mental
Secara berulang menolak keberadaan anak, mempermalukan mereka atau menyangkal eksistensi dan haknya sebagai manusia. Membuat anak menyaksikan kekerasan rumah tangga merupakan sebuah bentuk penganiayaan mental.
Pengabaian
Kurangnya perhatian terhadap anak secara berulang, termasuk memberikan perhatian, stimulasi, perlindungan, makanan, kehangatan, pendidikan, dan/atau memperhatikan kesehatan.

Regarding my professional experiences as a full time translator, I have worked in various topics of translation since February 2009 such as transcribing marketing research group discussions, and IT related translating projects involving the use of SDL Trados. My field of expertise are IT, Business / Commerce (General), Investment / Securities, and Marketing. I began to use SDL Trados frequently because of my clients, First I learned to use Trados Studio 2009, but then I also learned to use SDL Trados 7 and SDLX Lite because it is the requirement for the translation projects.
