暫(しばら)くして、女は、鞄から取り出して来たトランプを、ペタリペタリと餉台の上に並べだした。忍耐戯(ペーシェンス)と呼ばれるくらいで、よくよくしようことなしの暇潰(ひまつぶ)しだっだ。それでも、出来れば出来たで、出来なければ出来ないで、あとを引いた。その日は、どのやり方でも、不思議なくらい出来が悪かったが。
