This is the name of a bank: Mitsubishi Tokyo ユーエフシ

All the characters are katakana. What would this ユーエフシ
mean or be? Is it a location in Tokyo?

日本の銀行の預金通帳では、入金欄、出金欄ともに半角カタカナを使用しており、しかも字数に制限があります。さらに、たとえば「ジ」は「シ」と濁点の「゛」を組み合わせた二字で表記されます。

「三菱東京UFJ銀行」をカタカナで表記しますと「ミツビシトウキョウユーエフジェー」となりますが、「ジェー」は実際には「シ゛ェー」と四文字で表記されますので、字数制限により「゛ェー」が省略されて「シ」だけ残ってしまったのが原因でしょう。

I think Scallion is right. Just out of curiosity, Germaine, though do you think the last symbol シ could have been in Hiragana instead of Katakana? If so, then I imagine someone may have converted し into it's mirror image J somewhere.... ?
