Japanese term

生体

Japanese to English Medical Medical: Instruments
My text: 電池及び心臓の活動や機能に関係する生体現象を感知する回路を内蔵し、信号は装置内部に保存される。

My issue: 生体. In the context of this sentence, do we use Biological or Biometric?

My understanding: It contains built-in circuitry that senses biological phenomena related to the activity and functions of the battery and the heart, and the signals are stored inside the device.

Biological phenomenon

I looked in a few dictionaries and Japanese translation websites (no not google translate) and found "biological phenomenon".
This is also what I found on Weblio and I find that site quite trustworthy for single word term translation.

Biological phenomenon is what I found but of course, do use "biologocal phenomena" instead as this is better than writing "biological phenomenons".
