Japanese term

店頭売買銘柄

Japanese to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) stock acquisition
This is a type (brand) of stocks.
This term is used in contrast to listed brand (listed stocks). But I am not sure it's the same as non-listed brand.

It seems to mean "brand traded at store-front."
Are there any correct term for this?

Discussion

Mayumi Koide (asker) Jul 6, 2006:
Shortly after I put out this question, I discovered 店頭取引 is "over-the-counter." It's the same as 店頭売買 I guess. So is "over-the-counter brand" correct?

The tern "over the counter stock (OTC stock) seems to be used the most. Also the term "unlisted stock" is used. Being that you are trying to make a contrast between "listed stock", the term unlisted stock may be a good term to use.

I apologize for the typo. The third term is "unlisted stock".
