抵抗線ひずみゲージの長さは,3点曲げの場合1 mm以下,4点曲げの場合8 mm以下とし,試験片下面の支持ロール間中央(引張り側)に,長手方向に平行に,板幅の中央に1枚ちょう付し,負荷中のひずみ(εs)を測定する。

張付 would be pronounced "choufu" (although I can't find it in
my dictionaries) and would be a fancier version (e.g., affix or
adhere).

There's an explanation of the use of strain gauges at the link
below that gives me confidence in this answer.
