Japanese term

疑似線状欠陥指示模様

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation steam turbines
This is from a maintenance manual for a steam turbine. It appears to mean something along the lines of "what appear to be scratches", but I was wondering if anyone had come across this specific term. It seems awfully involved, and if it is a specific technical term as opposed to just some overly complex writing, I'd like to know what it might be.
