Japanese term
同居する
Japanese to English
Tech/Engineering
Computers: Systems, Networks
I know this term means "share, cohabit, live together etc". However, when it is used in the context of software application, e.g. ソフトウェアAはソフトウェアBとの同居は保障しない。, how do you render it in English without sounding odd?
Proposed translations

compatible
not a chokuyaku, but another option, perhaps.
There is no / We don't guarantee that software A and B will be compatible (when operating on the same system, etc.) ...if that is your context.

cohabit, peaceful coexistence
We North Americans like to get cute with "plays wells with other"—definitely not true of Microsoft offerings.

Example from this morning's HTML follies: Firefox and IE can peacefully coexist on the same hard disk. Well, "uneasy truce" might be more accurate since they both want to be the primary browser.
Much as I would like to uninstall MSIE, it's not allowed and besides I need it for the megabytes of bug fixes on the second Tuesday (PST) of every month.

: It *is* cuter than I like, but no one else has come up with anything that conveys the meaning.
