I don't know the target language so I can't give a target word for it. But doing bong is smoking marijuana using bong, a waterpipe-like apparatus designed specifically for this purpose. Is Freddy smoking pot with a kid in the movie?

röka en holk
is the slangy and most common way of saying it, although a bong is actually a water pipe, smoking one of those or any sort of reference to marijuana or hash is fine, depending on the tone of the rest of the text.

: I think it is better to be quite specific. "röka en holk" normally, but not always, refers to cupping your hands around a joint, pressing your lips against your thumbs and inhaling between them, but it *may* also be used as a general reference.

"röker på" is another option, which doesn't take the bong (=waterpipe, like Anette says) into account, it is just a general phrase meaning "to smoke weed".
