English term

but the gift of God is eternal

English to Hebrew Other Religion
Part of Romans 6:23. I had someone translate the beginning of the verse for me earlier, I wasn't sure how to respond, but thank you for your assistance, I greatly appreciate it! I only need the words "but the gift of God is eternal" translated into Hebrew, please. Thank you in advance!

אך מתנת האל חיי נצח היא

[Ach matnat ha'El chaye netsach hee.]

This is the most elegant rendering, and it also brings to a nice conclusion the first part of the verse, IMO.

You seem to have omitted the "life" from "eternal life". Is that deliberate? In which case, you can remove חיי from my translation.

Since there's no 'authorised' Hebrew translation of the New Testament, one can take certain liberties in order to make the verse sound right - poetically and biblically.

Thanks for the explanation - I just wish you told us in the beginning... Never mind, though.
You remove חיי (life) from the above bit, and מוות (death) from the answer to your previous question, and there you are. I'm not sure how it would look on his arm, though...
Note from asker:
I apologize for the confusion. The word "life" was deliberately taken from the verse for this translation. My little brother has two tattoos on his arm "Life" and "Death" He was wanting Romans 6:23 in Hebrew up to those words. Where exactly would he need to place the English words "Death" and "Life" in the text so that it reads correctly: "The wages of sin is (in Hebrew) death (in English); but the gift of God is eternal (in Hebrew) life (in English)" I hope that didn't get too confusing. The verse has special meaning to him, so I want to make sure that it is accurate. Thank you for your time.
