שלום לינגו. "הבזק" יכול להתאים בתנאי, לדעתי, שמוסיפים את המילה אש, היינו "הבזק אש". אחפש רפרנס, אבל לא הלילה... בהצלחה

Thanks and yes, I looked, but didn't find it. Do you have a reference to your suggestion? I was under the impression הבזק might fit better in this context, as I think the intent is to a fire that flares (flashes) and subsides - if it doesn't ignite something else on the way...
