חנויות נוחות? נדמה לי שנתקלתי במושג הזה למרות שזה נורא מילולי It is in a survey comparing the various places where people buy, and this expression refers to those stores that are in gas stations.

In the US, a grocery store is what is known in Hebrew as a Supermarket.
Makolet is a convinience store.
