Initial Hot Test Run of Bases

The initial hot test run is carried out to test the control equipment under hot conditions and to dry the bases.

For this purpose, the bases must be loaded with scrap iron coils. The load must not reach full capacity, but must reach a level above the “upper burner row”. To test readiness for production, annealing strips of good material may be attached to the coils.
