Dutch term

aanslaglat

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) instruction manual for sliding doors
Appears in an instruction manual for sliding doors:

'Bevestig the aanslaglat'

Is this the jamb? I would be grateful if someone could tell me what exactly a 'aanslaglat' is (as well as a 'jamb') just to get things straight.

Many thanks in advance!

striking plate

The striking plate is screwed to the jamb. This is the steel plate for the location of the lock bolt. Would this make sense?
