Nederlands term

conform

Nederlands naar Engels Juridisch / patenten Juridisch: Belasting & douane
Although this appears in dictionaries, I've posted this query because I'm not sure that what I have chosen is correct.

I have the following headings on a blank form:

Invullen indien niet conform
Niet conform bevonden
Dossiervorming conform
Controle teamleider conform

I have used 'in conformity', but I'm not sure whether I can use that as a stand-alone (i.e. without 'with' following).
Under 'niet conform bevonden' you have things like type of goods, codes, monetary value etc.

in order/not in order

I think 'in order' might work. Another option would be 'acceptable' and 'unacceptable' or even 'approved' and 'not approved'. Depends on who or which body determines if it is correct or not.

That's OK. We really need to know who is doing the approving. I like approved/rejected if it is the tax authorities.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I think acceptable or approved works well. I don't know who is doing the approving, but it's good and pithy."

I see your dilemma. I too would hesitate before using a stand-alone 'in conformity'. In at least some of the instances, you could use 'approved' or 'not approved'/'rejected'.

agree Marijke Singer : Approved/rejected is a good option!

neutral Tina Vonhof (X) : the problem is that it does not say 'with what'.
