Non-ProZ.com Jun 2, 2005:
the complete sentence is: om de verscheidenheid van de veredeling zichtbaar te maken voeren studenten met eigen en met geniteurs van het kweekbedrijf een kruisprogramma uit in de kas.
writeaway Jun 2, 2005:
can you please provide more context-a whole sentence?

Peer comment(s):

agree Johan Venter : Geunitor most likely is a spelling mistake for genitor, but in the context I think that **Grower** is the best term for the English translation.//person, obviously :)//Well spotted. Now I have to agree with you!

is grower a person or a plant?/well if you look at the added context-a person doesn't fit imho. (I asked because wasn't sure if it was a special term here. good, huh?)
agree Ljiljana Malovic : I have to agree with you too and dissagree with my own answer.

Peer comment(s):

disagree Johan Venter : Grower is the most commonly used term.//After writeaway pointed out that the asker supplied the full sentence, I'm afraid my agree unfortunately has to change to a disagree as the text does not refer to a person after all.

disagree Ljiljana Malovic : yes, grower seems to me the best solution too.// No, I have to dissagree, I've already dissagreed with my own answer (after seeing the additional explanation given by Asker)

Now I have too dissagree with myself.
After seeing the additional note - genitor.
