nadovjeriti

Evo i konteksta:

Thank you so much for your help, this goes out to everyone! :D
Piotrnikitin Jul 14, 2011:
"certified by apostille" I don't think "certified" is an appropriate translation. Like Dejan said, the apostille does not actually certify the document. The only thing it does is to confirm that the document was issued by a competent governmental institution of the host state. Before the Hagyue Apostille convention, this was done by the consulate of the receiving state in the host state. Although the apostille system introduced by the Hague convention has been designed to "abolish the requirement of legalisation", it is common to use the word "legalisation" in English for affixing the apostille: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legalization_(international_law...

hmm, hvala mnogo!!

PS: Nekad da mi nije ovog foruma.... :D
Ajla Silajdzic (asker) Jul 14, 2011:

the exact translation of "koji mora biti notarski i apostille nadovjeren" would be "which must be notarised and legalised [by apostille]". Examples here: http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy&hl=en&source=hp&q="nota...

Here is another good reference: http://www.notary.co.uk/minformation.htm

"Legalisation (“Apostilles”). Many countries require notarised documents to be “legalised”. This means that the notary’s own signature and seal must be checked by a government or diplomatic department against its records. An official certificate (called an Apostille) is sealed onto the document, confirming that the notarisation is valid. Legalisation is not an alternative to notarisation; it is an addition. If you have been told that you need a document legalised, it must be notarised first."

agree Vesna Maširević : APOSTILLE: If the document is intended for use in a foreign country it has to be legalized (another word is “authenticated”) for foreign use. This is a process in which various seals are placed on the document.http://apostille.us/Documents/apostille.shtml

notarized and apostilled
Example sentence:

Notarization is a formality often required for documents which are to be used overseas, or for certifying document copies. Once a document has been notarized by a Notary Public, and if it is to be used overseas, it may need to be apostilled.
