The reasons which cause a punitive judgement to be dismissed, or prevent its being carried out, or delay its issuance are the following:
1. Death of the convicted person
2. A general pardon
3. A special pardon
4. A pardon granted by the injured party
5. Being subject to the law of limitation
If the victim offers a pardon, then the prosecution and the sentence which was handed down (if they nave not reached the status of a final, irrevocable decision) are dropped, if taking the legal action was based upon (here the Arabic seems to have an error)
