International standards are the main products of ISO. It also publishes technical reports, technical specifications, publicly available specifications, technical corrigenda, and guides.[18][19]

These are designated using the format ISO[/IEC] [/ASTM] [IS] nnnnn[-p]:[yyyy] Title, where nnnnn is the number of the standard, p is an optional part number, yyyy is the year published, and Title describes the subject. IEC for International Electrotechnical Commission is included if the standard results from the work of ISO/IEC JTC1 (the ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee). ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) is used for standards developed in cooperation with ASTM International. yyyy and IS are not used for an incomplete or unpublished standard and, under some circumstances, may be left off the title of a published work

Re: disagree. Nie lubię tego słowa, niesie w sobie agresywność. Ja po prostu nie zgadzam się (bez wykrzyknika) na termin: 'number' w obu proponowanych wersjach.

Euronorm to system zasad tworzenia oznaczeń metali i stopów metali. Ten tekst nie dotyczy numerów i tytułów norm PN, EN, ISO itp.

Tytuł "Introduction to the Euronorm Standard Designation System" w kontekście całego tekstu można przełożyć jako "Wprowadzenie do systemu standardowych oznaczeń Euronorm".

Przy okazji:

„ISO” jest oficjalną nazwą, a nie skrótowcem. Skrótowce pełnej nazwy w językach oficjalnych są różne (po angielsku IOS od International Organization for Standardization, po francusku „OIN” od Organisation Internationale de Normalisation), więc łatwa do wymówienia krótka nazwa zyskała akceptację delegatów konferencji założycielskiej.

Sorry, ale nie "country code". Normy mają numery - po prostu.

Zawsze podajesz cały numer, np. PN-ISO/IEC 29134 - to znaczy, że:

- norma IEC 29134 została opracowana i przyjęta przez IEC = International Electrotechnical Commission,

- następnie ta norma została przyjęta przez ISO = International Organization for Standardization i otrzymała numer ISO/IEC 29134

- następnie norma ISO/IEC 29134 została przyjęta przez PKN = Polski Komitet Normalizacyjny do stosowania w Polsce jako Polska Norma i otrzymała numer PN-ISO/IEC 29134.

Po prostu. ;-)

Sugeruję w polskim tekście zastąpić:
- wyraz "oznaczenie" przez wyraz "numer"

- określenie "nazwa normy" przez wyraz "tytuł".

Od razu będzie łatwiej tłumaczyć. Przy okazji będzie zgodnie z oficjalną polską terminologią - patrz np. https://sklep.pkn.pl/pn-iso-iec-29134-2018-11p.html .
