English term

re-enter service

English to Spanish Other Engineering: Industrial AC & DC applications
Can you tell me if the following is an accurate translation for the above phrase?

Context:

"The vessel, which was originally a barge, was being converted by its owners, Fairmont Heavy Transport N. V, to re-enter service as a platform- lifting vessel."

TRANSLATION:
"El buque, que originalmente era una barcaza, estaba en proceso de ser reformado por sus propietarios, Fairmont Heavy Transport N. V, para volver a ponerlo en servicio como buque elevador de plataformas".

Many thanks

True, it sounds very Spanish. I would say "adaptado" instead of "reformado". I would use "reformado" when I talk about a flat.

Creo que está muy bien tu traducción

Talvez te recomiendo cambiar"reformado" por "transformado"
