Macaws spend most of their time hidden up in the forest canopy making it almost impossible for me to get really good shots of them. Almost the only time they come into the open en masse is at a clay lick. So that’s where I’m headed. Claylicks are river bank soil deposits where macaws and parrots come to eat clay.
