很會行路的人, 他走過了都沒有留下痕跡. 喻一個完美的修行者, 他做事, 事來心始現, 而事成心無所執著.
菜根譚: '風來疏竹, 風過而竹不留聲; 雁去而潭不留影. 故君子事來而心始現, 事去而心隨空.'
| Translation - English
A person who walks well leaves no traces behind. This analogy speaks of the conduct of the accomplished cultivators who put their heart to the completion of a task, yet they carry no attachment upon the completion of that task.
This is an excerpt from the Vegetable Root Classics:
'The bamboo rustles as the wind comes blowing. When the wind passes, the bamboo makes not a single sound.
The deep still lake reflects the image of a flock of geese when they fly over it. When the geese pass, the pond shows no more reflection.
So the hearts of the virtuous move when matters arise, but resume to the state of void when the matters pass.'
